As of August 21, 2025, there are no official sources that confirm a Point Break sequel titled Point Break Johnny Utah is in development and scheduled for release in September 2025. A viral Facebook post claimed that Keanu Reeves would star in the film, but the poster was later confirmed to be fake.
The original Point Break film was originally titled Johnny Utah when Keanu Reeves was cast in the lead role. However, the studio changed the title to Riders on the Storm after Patrick Swayze was cast.
